The Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment has expressed concern about the unwillingness of young people to access treatment for Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (CNCDs).
Family Nurse Practitioner, Sister Julie Prince, spoke on the issue during the “Views On Issues” programme aired on NBC Radio on Sunday.
Sister Prince said some young people are refusing to access treatment at the health centers throughout the country as certain conditions have become stigmatized.
Meanwhile, Sister Prince encouraged parents to instil positive lifestyle changes in their children to minimize the risk factors for CNCD’s.
