West Indies opener, Chris Gayle has returned to the West Indies set up for the three-match Twenty/20 International Cricket Series against England starting today at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown Barbados.
According to the Jamaica Observer, Gayle has not played for West Indies since the 1st Twenty/20 against Ireland in the Caribbean last month.
Injury also forced him to miss the limited overs series of the West Indies tour of India last year as well as the New Zealand tour that followed.
West Indies Twenty/20 Captain Darren Sammy will lead the team in the series which will continue next Tuesday and Thursday also at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
The 15-man West Indies Squad is: Darren Sammy Captain, Samuel Badree, Dwayne Bravo, Johnson Charles, Sheldon Cottrell, Andre Fletcher, Chris Gayle, Sunil Narine, Denesh Ramdin, Ravi Rampaul, Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Krishmar Santokie, Lindl Simmons and Dwayne Smith.
West Indies will be using the series as preparation for the defence of their ICC Twenty/20 World Cup Title when the Tournament is held in Bangladesh later this month.
