The St. Vincent Electricity Services, VINLEC say its making headway to repairs to the Hydro Power Plants that were damaged by the December 2013 flooding.
Communications Officer Tamara Job-Sprott says after several attempts by the Engineers, the Hydro Plant in South Rivers is now operational.
Mrs. Job-Sprott says Engineers are continuing to carrying out repairs at other Hydro Plants throughout the country, and it is expected that this process would be completed by the end of this year.
VINLEC says it will ensure that customers do not feel the impact of increasing fuel surcharge due to the damage of the hydro plants.
