The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has increased the Passport Replacement Fee.
This was revealed by Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves while delivering the feature address during yesterday’s introduction of the new Electronic Passport at the New Immigration Headquarters in Kingstown.
He said St. Vincent and the Grenadines is the second country in the Eastern Caribbean to introduce the E-Passport in keeping with international standards and it is costing the Government 3.4 million US dollars.
The Prime Minister said too often passports are damaged during domestic disputes.
Prime Minister Gonsalves said the new fee for replacing a passport which has been damaged is now three hundred Eastern Caribbean Dollars locally.
He also outlined the fee to have a Vincentian E-Passport replaced in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
