The Gender Affairs Division is encouraging the public to support their Parade and Rally which will be held this Friday in preparation for International Women’s Day 2014 which will be observed this Saturday March 8th.
Coordinator of the Gender Affairs Division, Polly Olliver said this activity which would signal the start of a month-long program commences at 9:00am on Friday at the Bay View Car Park.
She said the parade will end at Heritage Square where they will hold a Rally which ends at midday.
Mrs. Olliver said through this year’s activities they are seeking to have the youths involved in matters relating to Women and development.
Mrs. Olliver said Former Minister of Culture and Barrister at Law, Rene Baptiste will deliver the feature address at this year’s rally under the theme is “Inspiring Change”.
