All zones which are participating in the Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) initiative will participate in a number of disaster preparedness programs, during this year.
This was revealed by Senior Education Officer at the Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) Division, John “Zan” George during last week’s official opening of a six week Garment Making workshop which is being held at the Doris Mckie Learning Resource Center at Upper Cane Hall.
Mr. George said they started these Disaster Preparedness programs before and they will continue during this year.
He said these training sessions which form part of their community outreach program will seek to ensure that all communities are adequately prepared to manage disasters.
