The Local Girl Guides Association will be featured internationally this year as it observes one hundred years of guiding in the country.
Chief Commissioner for the Girl Guides Association, Réchanne Browne-Matthias says St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be featured in this year’s International Magazine which focusses on the Guides Association.
She says the local movement is now being viewed as a model association among its global counterparts.
Mrs. Browne-Matthias says the World Association of Guides has also appealed to the local movement to share its best practices with other countries.

Members of the local Guide Movement turned out in their numbers on Saturday to attend the World Thinking Day Service at the Kingstown Methodist Church.
Thinking Day is celebrated on February 22nd each year, and is used as an opportunity for Girl Guides and Scouts across the globe to think of each other and show appreciation for the friendships they find in the movement.
