Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Commerce and Information Technology, Camillo Gonsalves said during this year the Government will continue to develop the nation’s medical sector.
He made this statement during a press briefing which was held on Friday for the handing over a quantity of medical equipment from the Government of the Russian Federation.
The equipment which is valued over one hundred thousand U.S Dollars includes an Intensive Care Infant Ventilator and Infant Incubators.
Minister Gonsalves said during this year the Government will spend more than nine million dollars to modernize the medical sector.
Minister Gonsalves said the Government of the Russian Federation has also provided Engineers to train the Vincentian personnel to manage and operate the medical equipment which they donated to the country.
