The Vector Control Unit in the Ministry of Health is stepping up its efforts to reduce the mosquito population here, as concerns continue to grow about the Chikungunya illness, which is affecting the region.
Acting Supervisor of the Vector Control Program, Todd Lewis, outlined the activities being undertaken by the unit during NBC’s Views On Issues program yesterday.
Mr. Lewis said the unit is continuing with its house to house inspections to assess the general environmental conditions in communities across the country.
