The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment says its Vector Control Unit is stepping up its work to ensure that there is no spread of the Chikungunya Virus in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The viral disease which is spread by the Aedes Aegypti Mosquito is the latest medical issue in the region with a number of countries including Dominica reporting confirmed cases.
Chairman of the National Surveillance Committee, Dr. Rosmond Adams says to date there has been no reported cases of the Chikungunya Virus here.
