The Mexican Minister of External Relations, Dr. Jose Antonio Meade Kuribrena is expected to arrive in the State today to meet with Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.
Dr. Kuribrena’s visit is part of a tour to the Eastern Caribbean as a show of support for the islands which were affected by the Christmas flooding and to pledge the commitment of the Government of the United Mexican States to the rebuilding effort.
He is expected to arrive at the E.T Joshua Airport at about 3:20 tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile … The Government of Turkey represented by its Honorary Consul to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Tansal Akcayli would on Monday hand over a quantity of computers and printers to the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The official ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference Room from 9:00 a.m.
And … The new British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, resident in Barbados, Her Excellency Victoria Dean will be visiting the State on Monday and Tuesday, to present her Letters of Introduction to Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.
Commissioner Dean will also make courtesy call on various State officials including Governor General, Sir Frederick Ballantyne; Opposition Leader Arnhim Eustace and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Camillo Gonsalves.
On Friday, February 14th, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to SVG resident in Guyana, His Excellency Nikolay Smirnov will visit this county to officially hand over a quantity of medical equipment to the Government.
The ceremony is expected to take place in the morning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference Room.
