The West St George Youth Group for Progress and Development today handed over a quantity of food and clothing to the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), which h will be used in the ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
Speaking during today’s ceremony, President of the West St George Youth Group for Progress and Development, James Gibson said the supplies will be used to continue assisting persons who were affected during the disaster of Christmas Eve night.
Parliamentary Representative for the West St George Constituency, Cecil Mckie said the group managed to raise a total of three barrels of supplies which comprises food and clothing.
He said the group is making this donation to the national relief mechanism to ensure that the persons, who need this assistance the most, receive it.
