The National Parks Rivers and Beaches Authority in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy is hosting the first National Consultation for the Eastern Caribbean Marine Managed Areas Network ECMMAN project here today.
The four year project is funded by the International Climate Initiative, via the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and involves six OECS countries.
Speaking at the opening of the consultation this morning Dr. Sherry Constantine of The Nature Conservancy outlined some of the objectives and benefits of the ECMMAN project.
Director of National Parks Rivers and Beaches Authority Andrew Wilson during his feature address said the journey is continuing today where local stake holders at the country level to deepen awareness bout the project.
The one day consultation is taking place at the fisheries conference room and will wrap up this afternoon at 3:30.
