Over sixty Primary Schools are expected to participate in the 2014 edition of the Primary Schools’ Performing Arts Festival (PRISPAF) which will officially open here next week.
A release from the Ministry of Culture says preliminary judging will be done during the following five weeks until Wednesday 5th of March.
The Grand Days to showcase and record the highlights of performances from all schools in the preliminary round will be held on Monday March 10th and Tuesday March 11th at the Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown, commencing 9.00 am on both days.
The Primary Schools’ Performing Art Festival is designed to showcase, l the diverse talents of pupils. The Festival is a collaborative effort of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Culture.
Next week’s opening session is slated for Tuesday February 4th from nine-thirty in the morning, at the Kingstown Preparatory School.
The ceremony will hear remarks from officials of the Ministry of Education, the Sponsors and the Department of Culture.
The Festival is sponsored each year by the Professional Secretarial and Consultancy Services.
