Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne said the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will this year continue its efforts to improve the local justice system.
While delivering the Throne Speech in Parliament last week, to mark the start of the Fourth Session of the Ninth Parliament, Sir Frederick said the government has a packed legislative agenda for 2014.
Sir Frederick said the work to be undertaken in this area is critical as the justice and legal system are fundamental components of good governance and social, political and economic stability.
Sir Frederick said the government is also moving ahead with legislation, aimed at ensuring the protection of the nation’s youth.
