The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is expected to be ready to distribute the newly developed E-passport during the first half of this year.
This was confirmed by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves during his budget Address on Monday.
The Prime Minister said the Government has already signed a contract valued at 3.5-milion dollars, with the Canadian Bank Note Company.
Prime Minister Gonsalves added that renovation work is also continuing to have the Immigration Office relocated. He said this project is being undertaken at a cost of one million dollars.
