The sole rum distillery here, SVG Distillers has handed over a cheque valued fifty thousand dollars to Prime Minister Dr. ralph Gonsalves to go to the restoration of the Caratal Bridge in Georgetown.
The cheque was presented to Prime Minister Gonsalves by Export Promotion Manager and Public Relations Officer of SVG Distillers Phillipa Greaves who was accompanied by chairman of the board of directors SVG Distillers Nigel greaves.
On receiving the cheque Prime Minister Gonsalves expressed gratitude to SVG distillers for their contribution.
Prime Minister Gonsalves said the project previously in place to rebuild the bridge have been altered since the bridge is now completely destroyed.
