Thirty five delegates from across the region will be here next week to attend a Youth Leadership Development Program.
The Caribbean Development Education Programme (CaribDE) and the SVG Co-operative League will host the one-week session at the Hotel Alexandrina Conference Room in Prospect.
The one-week intensive program will feature an array of distinguished international speakers focusing on topics such as – Youth leadership, networking and peer-to-peer learning; Credit union Management and Entrepreneurship; Cooperative Principles, Values and Standards, and
Development and Regulatory issues.
Organizers say the experts will share views, trends and solutions to re-engineer and reposition credit unions in today’s marketplace, while leveraging the cooperative business model.
An Opening Ceremony will take place on Monday January 20th from 8am
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Consumer Affairs Camillo Gonsalves, will deliver the keynote address.
Other addresses will be made by Minister of National Mobilization and Social Development, Frederick Stephenson, and Speaker of the OECS House of Assembly, René Baptiste.
The Caribbean Development Education Programme is a ground-breaking leadership development course for current and rising credit union leaders, 40 years and under, and responds to the challenge of attracting more youths into Credit Unions and Co-operatives as members, employees and leaders.
