The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is continuing its work to further develop the nation’s delivery of Mental Health Care Services.
Today Minister of Health Clayton Burgin made a site visit to the Temporary Facilities which are being refurbished at Orange Hill to house the nation’s Mental Health Patients as the Government prepares to renovate the existing facilities at Glen.
The Minister is being accompanied by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Louis DeShong, Chief Medical Officer – Simone Kiezer-Beache, Chief Nursing Officer- Sister Peggie Dasilva, Senior Nursing Officer at the Mental Health Center – Sister Etheldra Prescott and other members of Staff.
They are also being accompanied by Staff from the Ministry of Transport and Works.
Permanent Secretary, Louis Deshong told NBC News during the visit that the work which is being conducted by JAG Construction headed by Mr. John Greaves is progressing smoothly thus far.
He said this work is being carried out under the 10th European Development Fund (EDF) Project.
