
The Government will be providing assistance to Farmers who were affected the December 2013 trough system, which caused flooding and landslides on mainland St. Vincent.
The Ministry of Agriculture has said that seven hundred farmers have been affected by floods and that 13-million dollars would be needed to assist the farmers.
Speaking at a Media Conference on Monday, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves pointed out that a proper assessment must be carried out, so that farmers can be provided with adequate resources.
