The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission NTRC will officially hand over a new state of the art computer lab to the Division of Technical and Vocational Education of the Community College next week.
The Lab was constructed under the SMART project with funding from the Universal Service Fund.
A release from the NTRC says the lab consists of an air conditioned room retrofitted with Apple and Lenvo based computers to be used by registered students of the college.
The SMART project was implemented to facilitate the necessary infrastructure at the Community College to enable it to offer existing courses and programs online and in real time.
Next week’s ceremony will be held on Tuesday January 14th at 10:00 am at the Division of Technical and Vocational Education at Arnos Vale.
The feature address at the event will be delivered by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade Commerce and Information and Communications Technology, Camillo Gonsalves.
