The Ministry of Agriculture has said that seven hundred farmers have been affected by the December 2013 trough system, which caused flooding and landslides on mainland St. Vincent.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said at a Media Conference on Monday that the Ministry has identified that 13-million dollars would be needed to assist the farmers.
The Prime Minister however pointed out that a proper assessment must be carried out, so that farmers can be provided with adequate resources.
