The construction of the International Airport at Argyle has moved closer to completion with the handing over of the Terminal Building to the International Airport Development Company IADC.
A ceremony was held yesterday, to mark the handing over of the facility from the Overseas Engineering Construction Company, OECC.
In his address, Chief Executive Officer of the IADC, Dr. Rudy Matthias said that the 28-million US dollar Terminal building was designed to meet the specifications of the IADC.
He said the IADC provided a list of specifications for the designers of the project to ensure that it meets the needs of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Dr. Mathias said the Terminal Building features two terminal buildings to allow for the separate processing of international and domestic passengers.
