Employees at the St. Vincent Electricity Services VINLEC are working tirelessly to have electricity restored to residents who lost power, as a result of a trough system that caused severe flooding and landslides on mainland St. Vincent.
Chief Executive Officer Thornley Myers says the restoration work in some areas have been hampered because of blocked roads, but he is hoping that the electricity supply will be returned to the residents later today
Mr. Myers says there has been significant damage at the Cumberland Hydro Plant.
