The General Manager of the Central Water and Sewerage Authority Garth Saunders says about 50-percent of the country is now without pipe-bourne water, as a result of last night’s torrential rains
Reporting on the situation this morning, Mr. Saunders said several of the nation’s water systems sustained extensive damage from last night’s torrential rains.
Mr. Saunders says teams from the CWSA are now mobilizing to go out and assess the damage.
Mr. Saunders has appealed to persons to use water sparingly today
