More than 500 Christmas packages were distributed to the elderly and less fortunate persons this morning compliments the Salvation Army.
The packages were distributed at the Annual Christmas Distribution ceremony held at the Salvation Army Headquarters in Kingstown.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne said he looks forward to the event every year to assist with the distribution of packages.
He also commended the Salvation Army for their work throughout the years.
The Salvation Army will also deliver packages this afternoon to institutions such as the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, the Louis Punnett Home, and Thompson Home, Her Majesty’s prisons among others.
