Rehabilitative work on the Langley Park Bridge has been suspended until early next year.
The Bridge was damaged as a result of flash floods which occurred in April 2011.
Chief Engineer in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Brent Bailey says a number of technical issues have led to the suspension of work on the bridge.
Mr. Bailey said during construction it was discovered that the river is now flowing at lower levels than when the bridge was designed.
He said they have had to make a number of modifications to the designs and this work is scheduled to resume during the month of January.
