The Sustainable Grenadines Incorporated (SUSGREN) is currently hosting a series of activities throughout the Grenadines during this week aimed at Sea Bird Conservation.
This was revealed by Director of SUSGREN, Martin Barriteau, who said the current program aims to ascertain how dependent persons are on Sea Birds for their eggs and meat for survival and how they can develop conservation measures in this regard.
Mr. Barriteau said they recently conducted a survey on the Sea Birds in the Grenadines and the findings will be discussed with residents of the Grenadines during a series of meetings.
He said the first meeting will be held in Canouan this afternoon followed by another in Bequia on Friday.
