The Ministry of Transport and Works is currently completing its Land Surveys to continue its rehabilitative work on the Belmont Public Road.
This follows persistent rains during the month of September which caused a landslide in the Belmont/Ginger Village area, prompting the Ministry to close the Belmont Main Road.
Chief Engineer in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Brent Bailey said when these surveys are done they will then be able to complete the designs for the new road.
He said they are currently developing a temporary solution which will restore a normal flow to traffic in the area while they develop their plans to fully address this situation.
