An appeal has been made for local farmers to ensure that their meat products are of the highest quality when they are being sold during the Christmas season.
This call was made by Chief Veterinary Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Health and Production Division, Dr. Kathian (KATE-IANN) Herbert Hackshaw.
Dr. Hackshaw said ALL farmers should also ensure that they are registered under the laws of the country because many farmers are still not certified.
She is also appealing to farmers not to kill sick animals for the sale of their meat
