Minister responsible for the Public Service Maxwell Charles has expressed desire to see the public service among premier agencies for efficient organization and service delivery.
According to a release from the ministry, the statement came at a meeting that was held on Monday November 18th to discuss issues affecting public sector reform in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Among the topics discussed were Challenges confronting the public service and ways to enhance performance development.
Minister Charles also used the opportunity to urge other ministries and agencies of government to support the reform effort in order to bring about a culture of good governance and enhance productive public service.
The meeting was convened among Cabinet Secretary Kattian Barnwell, Chief Personal Officer Corinne Gonsalves and Permanent Secretary in the Public Service Dr. Audrey Gittens Gilkes.
