The National Commission on Crime Prevention NCCP hosted a Prayer Breakfast this morning to commemorate Universal Children’s Day. The day is being observed around the world, under the theme: Protect Our Children, Preserve our Future.
The NCCP says the event was held to bring together religious leaders and stakeholders to protect children and strengthen partnerships in the fight to end violence against children.
Addressing the gathering this morning, Wycliffe Otieno of UNICEF noted that children are the most vulnerable sector of the society, and they must be protected at all times.
