A three day workshop geared towards the development of student’s literary skills officially got on the way here yesterday.
The workshop is co-ordinated by the Ministry of Education for primary and secondary school teachers.
Participants are engaged in both theoretical and practical sessions that focussing on areas such as planning and intervention strategies phonology as well as vocabulary and comprehension strategies.
The Ministry of Education believes that the exposure would ultimately lead to a whole school effort in administering appropriate literacy instruction in all educational intuitions throughout the country.
The workshop is taking place from 8:30 am daily at the Girls Guides Headquarters.
