The National Rugby Team defeated the Royal British Navy Ship HMS Lancaster 24-7 in a Friendly Rugby match at the Sion Hill Playing Field during the Ship visit’s to SVG 34th Anniversary of Independence Celebrations.
Phillip Alvis scored a vital try. Other good performances came from George Kruger, Guy Hadley and Team Captain Ricardo “YELLOW” Dallaway.
The National Rugby Union say they received support from St. Vincent Brewery, Randy’s Supermarket, the National Olympic Committee NOC and the National Sports Council NSC for the hosting of the match.
The Visiting British HMS Lancaster Royal Navy Ship was here to join in the Celebrations of this country’s 34th Anniversary of Independence.
